Integrated expertise and services for successful potato
crop management
|
|
We sell seeds and farm equipment as part of global solutions which integrate expertise and services and thus, enable farmers to maximise profits with their potato crops. A dedicated team specialized in arid and semi-arid agriculture helps built a sustainable crop management program adapted to each growing area.
Apart from technical field experience, they bring in method, care, patience and observation which are essential skills to increase profitability. Below are a few key points for successful crop management practices:
Take great car in soil preparation and planting
We consider soil preparation and planting as one of the most important stages of the crop management program. They must be conducted in order to improve crop establishment
and water efficiency which will help reduce input costs.
Optimize inputs
In these latitudes, potatoes are also a high input crop; irrigation is needed in most production
areas; fertilization is essential as the plant has a shallow root system unable to respond to such a quick growth
and short development cycle; and of course, crop protection is also important to avoid yield decrease. If not
properly managed, inputs become very costly and can ruin the crop's profitability.
More recently, our wide experience has enabled us to provide turn-key projects.
